From the preface to the 1662 BCP:
"For what mischievous purposes the use of [authentic] Liturgy came, during the late unhappy confusions, to be discontinued, is too well known to the world. Men under the late usurped powers made it a great part of their business to render the people disaffected thereunto."
The focus of attention at Anglicans in the Wilderness is the "late unhappy confusions" which have returned to Anglicanism, and for which we see the restitution of The 1662 Book of Common Prayer and doctrines of the Protestant Reformation as assured remedies.
